Problem Unit 7 is available in the form of a pdf (Portable Document Format) document which can be either read online or downloaded from this web site. The documents can be read on both PC's and Mac's with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Consider the document copyrighted material, which means that it may be reproduced for personal use. Repackaging and/or commercial reproduction in whole or part is not permitted.

PDF Version - This can be read directly online if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed in your browser - simply click on the "PDF Version" hyperlink above.

Alternatively, you can download the pdf file to your computer by pointing your cursor to the "PDF Version" hyperlink above, holding down the mouse button on a Mac or right clicking on a PC, and selecting the "Save to disk" or "Save this Link as ..." option (save as text or as source file in Netscape). This will place the document on your computer so that it can be read at any time offline. The downloaded text file can be read off-line within the Netscape browser. The downloaded source (file) document can only be read with Adobe Acrobat Reader (see below).

If necessary (in the rare situation where the above option does not work), you can also download compressed versions of the pdf documents using either of the two options below using Microsoft Internet Explorer:

Stuffit Compressed file for Macs and PC's - open with Stuffit Enlarger free from Aladdin

Download binhex version for Macs - also open with Stuffit Enlarger from Aladdin

Netscape problem:

Unfortunately, the current version of Netscape does not appear to download Stuffit compressed documents properly! If you are using Netscape, you must download the pdf version as described above. Microsoft Internet Explorer works very well and can be installed in a matter of minutes in a fully functional form (this is not a promotion - just a fact). You can have both Explorer and Netscape on your computer (even running simultaneously), which will permit you to continue to use Netscape if you prefer for other purposes. Explorer can be downloaded at not charge from Microsoft.

How to read a pdf document:

To read a pdf file, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, either as a stand alone application or as a plugin in your browser. These can be obtained free by downloading from Adobe.
